Hey!

We are Charles and Erika and we are owners and founders of FlorenciaDesigns.com We started our business project in January 2019 and we are proud to present our family and our history to you.

I am a stylist hairdresser, ’’stay at home mom ’’ and my husband is a very manual Quebec teacher by nature. We have three children: Olivia, Caleb and Matilde and every day, our little treasures form our inspiration.

Coming from a multi-ethnic family, very creative and colorful by its history (Guatemala, Italy, Quebec), we have always had a marked interest in handmade objects, antiques and family. 

During the last few years, we have frequently toured the yard sales in order to find objects that would give a very distinct history, personality and style to our house. We wanted to recreate in our home a place which would mark our memories and the major stages of our life, but which would represent at the same time our values and our beliefs. Despite our research, it was difficult to find in the market what would allow us to exhibit exactly who we are and this is how our first frames by Florencia were born.

We love working with wood and creating new things from a simple idea. From our first managers, we knew it would become a passion. We love to play with the grain and colors of the wood to make sure everything looks perfectly imperfect! This is how we give each of our brands a lively, chic, unique and timeless character!
